Senior Manager, Global Field Operations

Our partner is a leading international telecommunications organization operating in a complex, large-scale environment, delivering mission‑critical connectivity and field service solutions to customers across multiple regions.

To support ongoing transformation and operating model evolution, we are seeking a senior leader to take ownership of global field service operations, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and scalable service delivery across both internal teams and external partners.

This role plays a key part in shaping the future field operating model, driving outsourcing and transformation initiatives, and ensuring consistent, best-in-class service outcomes. The focus is on enabling safe, reliable, and customer-centric field operations while improving efficiency, resource utilization, and overall customer experience on a global scale.

Your Tasks

  • Lead and take full ownership of global field operations, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery across regions
  • Shape and drive the future operating model, including increased use of partners and outsourced delivery capabilities
  • Build and execute a clear strategic direction for field services aligned with overall business goals
  • Ensure efficient deployment of engineering resources, balancing capacity, skills, and demand to meet service targets
  • Inspire and develop a distributed leadership team, supporting capability growth and performance across multiple layers
  • Oversee relationships with key external partners, ensuring strong performance, accountability, and alignment
  • Continuously improve customer experience and operational performance, using clear metrics and data-driven decisions
  • Maintain high standards in health & safety, compliance, and risk management across all field activities
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive transformation initiatives and embed new ways of working
  • Manage budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements

Your Qualifications

  • Significant experience in a senior operational leadership role, ideally within field services, service delivery, or a comparable environment
  • Proven ability to lead large, geographically dispersed teams, including managing leaders and cross-functional structures
  • Strong background in transformational change, particularly in evolving operating models and introducing partner-based delivery
  • Solid understanding of environments involving on-site service delivery (e.g. engineering, installation, maintenance)
  • Track record of working with and managing external suppliers or partners at scale
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate high-level direction into practical execution
  • Confident communicator, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders across the organization
  • Good commercial awareness, including experience with budget ownership and performance metrics
  • Ability to operate effectively in a complex, fast-changing, international setting
  • Strong leadership presence with a focus on team engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement
