On behalf of our international partner, we are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join their expanding engineering team in Budapest.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art, cloud-native data and machine learning platform, playing a key role in shaping a globally used product at the forefront of AI and advanced analytics. You’ll have the opportunity to work on impactful technical challenges while influencing the evolution of the platform’s Python ecosystem.
Your Tasks
- Design and develop Python SDKs and related packages
- Contribute to the integration between a data platform and the Python ecosystem
- Build solutions for data integration and model interoperability
- Improve developer experience for Python users
- Collaborate with international teams in a global engineering environment
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong hands-on experience with Python (preferably Python 3.12+)
- Experience with Python packaging and dependency management (e.g. PyPI, Poetry, Conda)
- Solid knowledge of data processing libraries (e.g. Pandas, Dask, NumPy)
- Experience with testing (unit and integration testing)
- Passion for writing clean, maintainable, and performant code
- Good communication skills in English
Nice to have
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
- Familiarity with LLMs and generative AI
- Experience with cloud-native environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to distributed systems
- Basic knowledge of Java
