Senior Officer, Global Strategic Sourcing

Our client is a global humanitarian organization with national societies in 192 countries. It provides emergency aid, promotes health and social welfare, and advocates for vulnerable populations. 

Your Tasks

  • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for Vehicle/Fleet and support other categories as needed, ensuring alignment with IFRC’s Supply Chain Strategy.
  • Lead procurement processes, including market analysis, supplier benchmarking, RFx activities, and the establishment of long-term Framework Agreements.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, from quote requests to PO placement, including coordination with finance for payment processes.
  • Engage and align with global and regional stakeholders, driving change management to implement sourcing strategies across diverse geographies.
  • Support supplier relationship management, including contract negotiation, conflict resolution, and supplier performance improvement programs.
  • Provide technical procurement review support, ensuring compliance with IFRC policies and regulations.
  • Monitor sourcing performance, analyze cost structures, and identify opportunities for value creation, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.


Your Qualifications

  • Deliver best value for money by optimizing sourcing outcomes in terms of cost, quality, and service.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in Vehicle/Fleet procurement, with flexibility to support IT and other categories when needed.
  • Ensure sourcing compliance and ethical standards in all procurement activities, following IFRC and international best practices.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal teams and external partners, maintaining strong, trust-based relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and standardization within global procurement practices.
  • Use data-driven insights and industry analysis to inform sourcing decisions and supplier strategies.
  • Exhibit leadership in a matrixed, multicultural environment, influencing without direct authority and promoting cross-functional cooperation.
