Data Platform Architect

Guided by Strategy 2030, they strive to save lives, enhance resilience, and foster peace globally. It is a fixed-term contract (24 months) with possible extensions.
Your Tasks
Job Purpose
The Data Platform Architect designs, builds, and maintains the global data platform, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with organizational goals, supporting data ingestion, processing, and analytics, including AI.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Architecture:
- Develop and maintain data platform strategy.
- Define architecture and technologies to meet organizational needs.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, including AI.
Governance & Security:
- Support data governance and security frameworks.
- Implement security measures and optimize platform performance.
Data Processing & Analytics:
- Design data processing pipelines and select technologies for efficiency.
- Collaborate with analysts and data scientists on advanced analytics and AI.
Ingestion & Integration:
- Design and implement data ingestion processes.
Storage & Management:
- Design and select appropriate data storage solutions.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Your Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in data platform management and architecture.
- Proven Data Platform Architect experience.
- Strong knowledge of data technologies (ingestion, storage, processing, analytics).
- Proficient in database design, data warehousing, and integration.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, with preference for Azure).
- Familiar with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark) and data governance/security (GDPR, CCPA).
- Familiarity with data governance, data security, and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Preferred: Experience in RC/RC Movement or international humanitarian organizations, AI workflow design.
